Current thoughts + future features


So, overall, I think the demo has gone well. There were a lot of bugs I missed (including several crashes), but I think the demo is in a good state at the moment. In no particular order, these are the features I would like to add to the game in the future:

  • Making sentiments visible at all times (I will most likely arrange them like how Slay the Spire arranges its artifacts)
  • Visual effect for when you acquire sentiments
  • Tooltips for choices in events
  • More sound effects
  • More graphic effects
  • Making tooltips update according to buffs/debuffs
  • Being able to swap skills on the skill bar
  • A h-scene gallery (no brainer here)
  • A compendium of skills, buffs, debuffs and sentiments

While the combat system isn't bad in its current form, it's missing something. Card games have a nearly limitless potential for mechanics, but a decent chunk of that depth is lost in the current skill system. So, it needs a supplementary mechanic to add additional depth to not only combat, but to character building as well.

With that said, I'm on break until January now (provided there aren't any catastrophic bugs I've overlooked). Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in 2025.
